My name is Jessica, and I am a 26 year-old stay at home mother. I have a beautiful preschooler (who we will call E) and I am expecting a little boy in a very short time. I recently quit my job as a teen programmer at my local library to stay at home and raise my family, so staying at home is an adjustment for me!
I never thought I would be the type of person to homeschool, use cloth diapers, or be on board with anything 'crunchy'. In fact, I was the one who would be shouting "EWW!" when people even mentioned this kind of thing. But now, I am waist deep in homeschool printables and cloth nappies and I couldn't be happier. I believe what I am doing is best for my family, and it is worth any extra amount of time and work on my part.
I am also a big believer in nature learning and hands on learning play rather than sitting at a desk in school all day. This is my main reason for homeschooling. I also really felt like public school killed my passion for curiosity and learning, so I am hoping homeschooling will combat this with my LO who passionately loves learning anything new.
I am a person and make mistakes, and this blog is a way for me to chronicle all the beautiful mistakes and achievements in my family's life. Thanks for taking the time to read this!
